Home Staging & Re-Design

Sheila James Designs has a proven record and reputation for making any home look its best.  Getting your home ready to go on the market does not have to be stressful or expensive.  My goal is to lighten your load by helping you turn your home into one that will attract Realtors and buyers by maximizing it’s appeal.  Together our goal is to get your home sold as quickly as possible at or above your asking price.

The staging process is a proven success.  While staging may mean investing 1% – 3% of the listing price, the return is normally between 8% – 10%.  To sell your home faster it must stand out and have a lasting 1st impression.  According to the National Association of Realtors (NAR) the three most important rooms to stage are:  living room, master bedroom and kitchen.  The most common home improvement items recommended by agents are:  de-cluttering, entire home cleaning, carpet cleaning, removal of pets during a showing, minor (obvious) household repairs, depersonalize, painting, and landscaping the outside.

Home Staging and Re-Design is a process of one or all of the following:

  • de-cluttering / downsizing
  • whole house cleaning
  • placement or re-design of existing furniture
  • accessorizing where needed
  • possible painting to neutralize
  • clean and upgrade landscaping for curb appeal

Fast Facts:

  • A staged home sells on average of 17% higher than an unstaged home.

SIMPLY PUT:  Buyers want to see a clean, spacious home. Buyers need to imagine the home as their own.

  • Buyers decide within 10 seconds of seeing a home if they like it or not.

SIMPLY PUT:  1st impressions really matter.

  • Home staging is affordable.  1% – 3% of the listing price is very reasonable to spend on staging, depending on the need and size of your home.

SIMPLY PUT:  Buyers are looking for quality and value just as you would if you were in the market to buy a home
